Headington Dog Training School was started 25 years ago by Tom Smith, Olga Booth and Joyce Allen. Tom retired some years ago and more recently it was felt by Olga and Joyce that after 25 years they both deserved a rest so we now have Jennie to help out with the training. She has taken over some of the obedience classes from both Olga and Joyce.

Training consists of socialising your dog with people and dogs, walking on a loose lead, coming to you when called, to be able to sit, lie down and stand when told to, to stay put in the sit, down and stand positions. As the dogs progress we introduce other new things e.g. heel work to music, scent discrimination, send away, retrieve an article, etc. and generally have fun. All courses run for 10 weeks.  There are three different classes:

Home visits
Jennie will also do one-to-one sessions in your own home. You can either have a single one off session or 5 sessions usually one per week. Each training session lasts for approximately one hour.
